Chestnut Acres LLC has been offering standardbred horse boarding since 1979.  Located in Concord, Michigan, Chestnut Acres is recognized by the Michigan Historical Commission as a Centennial farm which has been owned by the same family for over one hundred-fifty years.


Now with two locations, totaling over 80 acres, Chestnut Acres is minutes from both I-94 and I-69 in south central lower Michigan, making it an easy ship from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Canada.


Linn and Tracee Hathaway, owners of Chestnut Acres, have been actively involved with Standardbred horses for well over 30 years.  Linn’s background began as a teenager caring for horses and assisting several area horsemen.  Tracee grew up in the horse racing industry and both she and Linn have owned race horses over the years.  Both are members of the Michigan Harness Horseman’s Association and The United States Trotting Association.


Chestnut Acres has been the “vacation” spot, during their time off, for several Michigan state champions and many other note worthy horses including:  Action Figure, Carson City Road, Celtic Danser, Dayzee Dukes, Daytime Torch, Meal Ticket, Money Lender, Raider’s Right, Red Rocks, and The Admiral.  Owners and trainers utilizing Chestnut Acres boarding facility are from Michigan, Illinois, California, Florida, New Jersey, Delaware, & Ontario.
